Featured in international blog on chronic pain
On my 24th birthday, some thugs pushed me off my bicycle as I cycled along the road at Pallarenda in Townsville. The force of the impact was so strong it propelled me into the air, and I landed on my head before rolling headfirst down the road. I was knocked unconscious and woke up in hospital with excruciating neck pain. Fortunately, I soon recovered and within a few months returned to cycling, tennis, sailing and bushwalking.
Ten years later, daily migraines started and what followed was a merry-go-round of specialist and physio appointments. But nothing worked, and I lived with crippling migraines day after day.
Here is my migraine journey, published as part of an international awareness campaign for chronic pain. https://onus.app/2020/11/25/my-story/
I hope you too find a treatment approach that helps you manage your chronic pain and live a good life despite the pain.
Take care
